About this session
When people don't know each other yet, the usual introductions barely scratch the surface – names, titles, and a handshake. Using a game-like protocol of turn-taking, each participant contributes their skills, qualifications, interests, and passions to a shared rhizomatic map. Because everyone adds to the web in turn, quieter voices are heard as clearly as louder ones, and no one gets talked over. As the map synchronizes, common ground and unexpected overlaps rise to the surface – revealing who shares what, where interests intersect, and which pairings hold promise. The session ends with concrete offers for collaboration, so participants leave not just acquainted, but already building something together. For conferences, cohorts, residencies, coworking spaces, and newly formed teams looking to connect.
