Can a design team think together without smoothing over their differences? In this live demonstration, Dr. Ravid Rovner and a team of designers – Miryam Ben Sadoun, Einav Lavie Peled, Rinat Weinberg, and Shir Chadad – will perform a session of Collaborative Rhizomatic Mapping (CRM) centered on a deceptively simple object: The Key.
Moving beyond the "Starchitect" myth of the lone creator, the team will transform the stage into a living laboratory. As they map the key – from its physical serrations to its role in digital surveillance and social exclusion – the audience will witness:
Distributed Authorship: A hybrid team (online via Zoom and physically on-stage) negotiating a shared research landscape.
Externalizing Conflict: Watch as the map preserves "disputed causality" and contradictory interpretations, proving that productive tension is a generative asset.
The AI as Auxiliary: See AI agents being used for "atomized" data retrieval – verifying technical facts about encryption…
