About the event
When an essay could have been written by AI, how do you see the thinking behind it? This lecture shows a way to make genuine research and learning visible and hard to fake.
Rhizomatic Mapping is a non-linear method for collecting everything a project holds – sources, ideas, questions, connections – on a single evolving map that shows how understanding was actually built.
I'll present a case study from my own teaching: students gathered their research on a rhizomatic map throughout the semester, presented it as they went, and submitted it alongside their essay. The map becomes evidence that real thinking took place — and a richer record of learning than the essay alone.
You'll leave understanding how the method works, and able to start using mapping to bring authentic thinking back into your courses.
